Beaver Lake
For the Army Corps of Engineers’ real-time outflow report from Beaver Lake Dam, visit the Corps’ Little Rock office website.
(updated 6-25-2026) Jon Conklin with FishOn Guide Service (479-233-3474) said Beaver Lake rose again due to a large amount of rain this past week. The river arms were rolling with debris and mud. That has moved well past Hickory Creek moving towards Horseshoe. Water level is 1,125.45, almost 5 feet above normal and more rain is expected. The Army Corps of Engineers did open flood gates a bit to drain off some water.
Stripers are good right now and are being caught from Prairie Creek down to the Starkey area. Shad is the bait that produces the best results. Walleye are OK on some days and off the next. Drop-shotting crawlers and crawler harnesses are working. Also, trolling is getting some action. The north end is where you want to fish.
Crappie are also off and on. With a 3-foot rise, fish are scattered and will be until water temps rise into the mid-80s, and right now the water is at 78 or so.
Once the thermocline sets up, the fish will be scattered. Trolling will get better in the coming weeks.
Bass are OK. They also will set up once the lake stabilizes. Look at brush and rockpiles 20-25 feet deep.
Catfish should really pick up and with the dirty water. “I would look up the War Eagle if looking for catfish.
“Lots of floaters throughout the lake, so stay awake when driving a boat or you’ll risk damaging your lower unit. Stay safe and good luck!”
